Who is an Active User?
updated 1 year ago
Pricing on Engage is based on the number of active users (Customers or Accounts) in your Engage account during the billing period. We call this MAU – Monthly Active Users.
An active user is a Customer or Account with at least one data or message event during the billing period. This means they have sent or received a message from you or an event has been received on their behalf during the billing period.
Here are actions that make a user active:
The user receives a message through Transactional messaging, Campaign, Banner, or Automation. (Only Banners shown to users identified by the Javascript SDK count towards your MAU).
The user triggers an Automation, changes stage in an Automation, or exits an Automation.
The user is added to or removed from a List or Segment.
You send an event on behalf of the user sent to Engage. This includes events sent through our API, SDKs, and Integrations.
Any of your integrations send data on behalf of the user to Engage.
The user sent or received a live chat message.
The user sent or received an inbox message.
